Mark your calendar for the weekend of June 14-15 as West Catholic High School, 97 LAV-FM and Option 1 Credit Union host the nationally renowned Beatles tribute band, “1964” … The Tribute on Saturday as part of a final weekend of celebration to close out the school’s 50th Anniversary year.

Friday, June 14
7 p.m. - Midnight ● WC Cafetorium ● Polish Night Plenty of Polish food and Gerry Kaminski’s Polka Network will be on hand for music and dancing. The ticket price covers entry, authentic Polish dinner and soft drinks. Beer and wine will be available for purchase (adults only). $15 per person. Gerry Kaminski is a 1977 West Catholic Alumni.
Saturday, June 15
1- 3 p.m. ● Falcon Stadium ● Battle of the Alumni Bands Four Alumni-founded local bands will compete for a chance to open for “1964” … The Tribute. They include: Walt Gutowski and The Bridge Street Band (WC ‘80), Entourage - The Timmy Sanders Band (WC ‘73), The Legal Immigrants/Joe Bockheim (WC ‘04), and Chicago Drive – Alex Pummill/Matt Hermann/Molly Jones/Brad Lawrence (WC ‘08 & '01). No ticket necessary. (Must leave and re-enter to attend the evening concert.)
6 -10 p.m.● Falcon Stadium ● “1964” … The Tribute The West Catholic Jazz Band will begin warming up the crowd at 6 p.m. followed by Academy Four and the winner of the Alumni Battle of the Bands. Then concert goers will relive the magic of the British Invasion with the group Rolling Stone magazine calls the “Best Beatles tribute on earth” as “1964” … The Tribute takes the stage. Bleachers - $20 ● Football Field (Bring a chair or a blanket) - $25 ● Students (Football Field) - $10
